Get ready for the last big weekend of PAL Soccer 2011! The official schedules for the Jim Leard Tournament have been finalized.

2011 Schedule — “The Jim Leard Classic”

Please note that all schedules are subject to change! Please plan on being at your first game 45 minutes prior to kick-off. Check-in is complex and time-consuming during this large festival.

Please be aware that some rule changes — and some stricter interpretations of rules — are in effect for the Tournament. Your coach will have all of the details.

In particular, uniform rules are strictly enforced, and a higher standard of sportsmanship is expected on the part of all participants. Also, games will run a few minutes shorter than they did in the regular season.

Please prepare ahead of Saturday by confirming your field location (which may not be the same as your regular season field locations) and guaranteeing the readiness of your child’s uniform on Friday.

The game schedule for the second five games of the 2011 MetroPAL Youth Soccer schedule has been released!

The new schedule starts on Saturday, October 15, at fields across Willow Glen, San Jose, Milpitas, and Santa Clara. See our Field locations for park details.

You will need to know your team number to confirm your schedule! From the master schedule page, you can do a page text search for your unique team number. (Willow Glen teams all begin with an ’8′ in the number.)

2011 MetroPAL Youth Soccer SECOND HALF Schedule

Games on October 8 were part of the original FIRST HALF Schedule.

Children in U6 through U15 play these games on October 15, October 22, October 29, November 5, and November 12. The schedule for U18 Players is for the entire season, and includes several weeknights.

We use first-half results to create evenly balanced divisions for the last half of the season (and will again before our End-of-Season Tournament). PAL soccer is the only local soccer league that re-ranks our teams and divisions twice in each season! We will re-rank our divisions in advance of the End of Season Tournament, scheduled for November 19-20 (weather permitting).

ALL games, dates, time, and locations are subject to change with little notice. ALWAYS confirm game time and location with your coach weekly!

Rain has arrived a little early this year, and so have the questions about practices and games on rainy days.

PAL allows practices and games to be played on fields in accordance with each of the policies of our individual field owners. Because each field is different, it can take time to determine whether your game or practice will continue as scheduled.

You should assume practices are “ON” until you hear directly from your coach. PAL works with the City of San Jose and the SJ Unified School District to determine the “playability” of each individual field. We notify coaches, who then notify their individual players. You should expect to hear from your coach via phone, email, or text message (or other method your team uses normally). Until then, Game on!

As is tradition, PAL will hold the Soccer Jamboree at PAL Stadium on Saturday, October 1.
In addition, to having team and player photos taken, there will be soccer related family activities.

The WG PAL Photo Schedule is below, along with instructions for ordering photos. If you are only interested in the Memory Mate (individual player photo with team photo), do nothing … Just show up at your appointed photo time.
